LOVE YOUR MERINO
Take care of your merino and it will take care of you – here’s our handy guide to merino care.
Before you wash, try refreshing your garment by airing it outside.
Wash at 30° on a delicate wash/short cycle, or hand-wash.
Wash similar colours together and wash inside-out to stop bobbling.
Use a mild detergent. If you’re using powder, dissolve it in water first to stop it sticking to the fibres and causing holes.
Reshape your garment while damp.
Dry it on a flat surface, preferably on a towel. Merino gets heavy when it’s wet, so drying on the line or on a hanger means it stretches and loses shape.
Don’t use fabric softener or conditioner, don’t tumble dry or dry in direct sunlight. Never dry clean or bleach merino and don’t wring your garment out – it stretches the poor fibres.
If your merino top becomes damaged, we offer a repairs service for a small charge.
