FINDRA TALKS AND EVENTS
FINDRA is more than a clothing brand, we're a community of like-minded people exploring the world together. You'll find us at events all across the UK bringing the FINDRA community to you.
FINDRA Turns 5! Join us in Innerleithen for a chat and some bubbles!
Come celebrate our 5th birthday with us - we are having a wee gathering and would love you to be there.
On Saturday November 30th at 6pm we will host a panel talk with our ambassadors discussing how we can all get outdoors more, this will then be followed with a glass of bubbles and some nibbles, then we plan to head to the pub!
Attendance is free! Get your tickets here!
Hosted by our very own Ms FINDRA, Alex Feechan, who has built FINDRA from the ground up. Throughout her career Alex travelled internationally gaining insight and experience into other cultures and design tastes. Her passion for getting outdoors led her to relocate to the Scottish Borders where a developing love of mountain biking helped her through a very difficult period in her personal life and ultimately leading to her establishing FINDRA.
Alex lives and runs her business from Innerleithen with her 3 very tall boys (that’s her sons not furniture!) her partner Roddy and their black lab Horace. Every day they work hard to find ways of incorporating exercise and time outdoors within their busy lives. ‘Everyday adventures’ were inspired by this ethos and approach and is a real passion of Alex’s and a core value of FINDRA’s.
Graeme Walker - is married and a father of two young boys. His true passion is undertaking adventures and enjoying new experiences. Creator of the online adventure blog “The Forge” his hope is that the blog posts, inspire you to make positive changes in your life and to realise that you don’t need to be an extraordinary person, to live an extraordinary life.
He is a keen runner, snowboarder, mountain biker and hill walker. A lover of new experiences and if you look hard enough, you may just find him on a hill near you.
Graham Kelly - A railway signalling engineer to trade but qualified Mountain Leader, Graham's spare time is based in the Scottish Mountains – a habit that has led to a full round Munro & Corbett summits, a passion for fell/hill running, scrambling and the occasional graded technical route. Given a winter, he can be seen on alpine or cross country skis and on a good day, sometimes skinning up a hillside on old touring kit.
Dee Hollingsbee - A local you may recognise from our social and teen mountain bike rides, surprisingly Dee came pretty late to mountain biking. "When I moved to Peebles, as a skier and snowboarder, I was resolute in my opinion that cycling UP mountains was just for crazies. But within 2 years I was on to my second bike, had passed my Trail Cycle Leader qualification to lead with our local kids club, and even taken part in a seven hour endurance race."
"With biking, I love that virtuous feeling at the top of the climb and the buzz of coming back down – even at my speed – but I think it’s the camaraderie of riding with like-minded women here in the Tweed Valley that I love the most. Constant support and encouragement, nothing to prove as we’re trying to fit it in with life and family, and of course coffee, cake and many many laughs."
Jo Moseley - is a Mum of two living on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. She was the first woman to stand up paddleboard 162 miles coast to coast from Liverpool to Goole this summer. Jo was fundraising for a mental health surf charity and raising awareness of plastic pollution in our inland waterways. She is passionate about sharing the joy of tiny adventures in the sea, hills & canals for women her age and the mental, physical & emotional benefits they bring.
