FINDRA’s Weekly Inspiration: Seize the Day

Here at FINDRA, we’re always looking to bring you snippets of motivation to get you inspired for your own everyday adventures. This coming Saturday, our marvellous ambassador, Jo Moseley, leaves home to start her brilliant adventure paddleboarding 162 miles on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal along the Desmond Family Canoe Trail from Liverpool to Goole.

Paddleboard The North

She’s such an inspiration – our Jo. A never-ending source of positivity with a healthy dose of can-do attitude, she’s gone from some pretty tough times in the past few years to taking on her own adventure stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) along the canals of northern England this coming weekend.

She started SUP-ing back in 2016 when she had injured her knee and wanted to focus on strengthening her core with something low impact. Since then she’s not only become an ambassador for FINDRA, but also for British Canoeing showing that age is but an insignificant number if your heart and mind are in the right place.

Her solo adventure this July shows that you’ve just got to take these opportunities to do something which brings you joy but also forces you out of your comfort zone. Something which scares you a little bit, but you’ll enjoy anyway.

Follow Jo on her adventure over on her Twitter and Instagram. We’ll be following and supporting her every step of the way!

What’s Stopping You?

Ms and Mr FINDRA went off on their holidays this month to relax and unwind. Inspired by our very own Jo, they recently tried stand-up paddleboarding locally in Scotland, but since they were on holiday and there was absolutely nothing stopping them, they jumped at the chance to give surfing a go.

When Alex returned refreshed and buzzing from dipping her toe into a new hobby, it reminded us to take all the opportunities to try new things.

Read more about her mini-adventure here.

If you had nothing stopping you, what would you try?

Quote of the Week

Music of the Week

We’re building a FINDRA Community Playlist over on Spotify, bringing you music of a rather eclectic variety! From classic dance tunes to lesser-known indie songs, we hope there’s something new in there for you. If you’ve got a favourite you’d like to hear in the playlist, drop us a tweet!

This anthem is one of Alex’s absolute favourite tunes; it’s a great message we all need to remind ourselves of sometimes. She tells us it’s her number 1 Desert Island Disc!

Whatever you’re up to this week, friends, remember to find your everyday adventure.

Love, Team FINDRA x
