Father’s Day: Top Ten Gifts for Outdoor Dads

We’ve compiled the ultimate outdoor gift list to make Father’s day gift shopping a breeze – and it’s not all FINDRA! From super merino socks to a Shand Stooshie, from a camping mug to a bottle of Scottish gin to enjoy in it, here’s everything a discerning dad could ever want!

FALCON Enamelware

FALCON Enamelware

Originally manufactured in the Black Country near Birmingham in 1920, the classic ‘ice white with a blue rim’ design is still instantly recognisable to this day.

As well as timeless elegance, Falcon Enamelware has enduring strength. Enamelware is porcelain fused onto heavy-gauge steel, giving it many admirable qualities – durability, smoothness and chemical resistance. It can assume brilliant, long-lasting colours, and cannot burn, so if dropped, it may chip but it won’t break! In 2011, the original collection was revitalised – creating new colours and cookware sets along with increasing the gauge of the classic mug, the range is extensive (pie dishes in every size!)

A perfect gift for Fathers day and we also think it's highly suitable for van life and camping!

INSHRIACH Gin

INSHRIACH Gin

The Inshriach Estate is in an area of outstanding natural beauty near Aviemore and deep in the Cairngorms National Park. Not only is this one of the last strongholds of Scottish juniper (and you can’t make gin without juniper!), it is an area abundant in interesting and edible botanicals that are also used to flavour this beautiful gin. Every part of the process from harvesting to bottling to labelling and distribution takes place on the estate.

Inshriach 43% Original Gin uses three ingredients – Juniper, Rosehips and Douglas fir. The juniper is gathered in the Autumn, the rosehips just before the first frosts, and the Douglas fir from Inshriach forest on the morning it is needed. Once distilled the gin is then brought down to 43% ABV using water from the estate’s own Cairngorms spring. Perfect when enjoyed neat or with a few cubes of ice. Cheers!
