Part-Time Cook – FINDRA Café, Innerleithen

Location: FINDRA, Innerleithen
 Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 2 days a week (including weekends)

FINDRA is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Cook to join our friendly team at our café in Innerleithen. We’re proud to offer a welcoming, community-focused space where great food and coffee are served alongside our stylish, sustainable outdoor clothing.

About the Role:

As our café cook, you’ll be responsible for preparing and delivering our simple but high-quality lunch menu. Our offerings include fresh homemade soups, toasties, and open sandwiches – all made with care and attention to quality.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a kitchen environment, can stay calm under pressure, and takes pride in preparing delicious food with efficiency and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food for daily lunch service in line with our set menu
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth service
  • Manage orders and prep in a timely and organised manner
  • Work independently when required, taking ownership of the kitchen during shifts
  • Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and compliant with food safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working in a café or kitchen environment
  • A passion for preparing wholesome, fresh food
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
  • A responsible, reliable, and hardworking attitude
  • Excellent timekeeping and a strong team player
  • Someone who enjoys working weekends and in a customer-facing, community-led setting
