Scottish brand FINDRA have ploughed a lot of eco-sensitivity into this remarkably good waterproof. Its yarn is made of melted-down pellets created from dried coffee grounds and recycled plastic bottles, It’s light and packable, making it ideal for spring and summer walks. I suspect it’s aimed at cyclists as much as walkers: the arms are weirdly long and there’s a random butt pocket which I think is meant for energy gels. It covers my bum, but the sizing is a bit odd – baggy at the top and tighter on the hips. And the zip is slightly tricky. But I happily tolerate these minor niggles because the idea of turning waste into something wearable is fantastic.
