“I knew I wanted to create a business and brand that was based on a Sustainable Business Model” – Alex Fechan, FINDRA CEO/Founder
A SUSTAINABLE FASHION MOVEMENT
Sustainable fashion means to create clothes, shoes, accessories and other textiles without damaging the environment with all its components or affecting people’s lives and includes all stages of the product life cycle:
- Raw material production
- Final sale
- Up cycling
Having a sustainable approach to designing, sourcing manufacturing, buying and using clothes is key to protecting the planet, as well as the lives of those involved in the creation of garments.
SUSTAINABLE OUTDOOR CLOTHING
At FINDRA we design and create a CORE range of products that are not seasonal or in anyway ‘fast fashion’. We do not create collections that have short life cycles or products that go out of fashion encouraging a disposable throwaway approach to clothes.
Instead we concentrate on creating stylish designs made from natural or recycled raw materials.
Products that are designed to last and out-live any ‘fashion craze or trend’ Products that are useful all year round have longevity and functional design details.
In fashion, as in any other industry, the concept of sustainability is based on three essential pillars, also known as the ‘triple bottom line’:
When Alex Feechan founded FINDRA, these were the basis for the 3 keys aspects woven into the DNA of the business as it is today:
- Good design
- Consideration to the planet
- A desire to encourage people outdoors and reap the benefits of experiencing nature.
